Two-base barbed wire
It consists of two intertwined wires (bases) and two or four spikes located on it at an equal distance from each other. The nature of the twist is one—sided. It is allowed to turn the spikes around the base at an angle of no more than 300. The wire forming the spikes is wrapped around the base for 1 3/4 or 2 1/4 turns.
The wire is manufactured:
The wire base is made of heat-treated galvanized wire according to GOST 3282-74 with a temporary tear resistance of at least 36 kg /mm2 (350 N/mm2) with or without zinc coating (followed by phosphate-polymer coating of coils of barbed wire). Barbed wire spikes are made of heat-treated wire according to GOST 3282-74.
According to the design, there are:
- Type of Jowa (Jova). The beginning of the twist is on one, and the end is on two wires of the base.
- Type Glidden (Glidden). The thorn is twisted on a single wire — base.
According to the number of spikes, there are:
- two-spike
- four-spike
