Wire made of low-carbon steel for reinforcement of concrete BP-1 class (intermediate diameters)

ТU 14 -1 -5572 -2008
Wire BP-1 class with intermediate diameters of 3.8 and 4.8 mm, manufactured according to TU 14-1-5572-2008, is intended for reinforcing reinforced concrete structures and producing masonry welded grids instead of wire with a diameter of 4 and 5 mm according to GOST 6727-80 without recalculation, respectively (based on the certification tests of NIIZHB — certificate GOST R No. ROSS RU.0001.11A12). According to these specifications, only the Cherepovets Plant of Severstal-Metiz OJSC has the right to produce wire.

Benefits

  • The use of certified BP-1 wire with diameters of 3.8 and 4.8 mm instead of diameters of 4 and 5 mm allows for metal savings in reinforced concrete products and grids by 11% and 8%, respectively.
