Steel shaped profiles for tongue-and-groove connection

The company has developed and patented a system of profiles for creating a lock connection. Such a profile system can be used as a lock in welded, tubular and other sheet piling panels during the construction of hydraulic engineering, transport and industrial and civil facilities.

The lock joint was tested at the Mosty Research Center (Moscow) and at the certified testing center of Severstal-Metiz JSC. The results of testing profiles made of steel grade 09G2S with a chemical composition according to GOST19281-2014 conducted in a certified laboratory of Severstal-Metiz, show:

The actual breaking force of the lock joint in terms of a linear centimeter of length is: P1ud. res. from 38.5 to 46.0 kN/pog. see
The actual maximum normal stresses in the strip parts of the profiles when the lock breaks are: σ1 max strip.h. from 326 to 389 N/mm2 (MPa).

The use of this lock in sheet pile structures is recommended by the following regulatory and technical documents:

  • GOST R 536-29-2009. Sheet pile and sheet pile-piles made of cold-bent steel profiles.
  • TU 5264-001-07851735-2009. Sheet pile welded profiles.
  • TU 5264-015-01393674-2012. The sheet pile is welded semicircular profile.
  • TU 5264-016-01393674-2012. The sheet pile is tubular welded.

Steel shaped profiles for tongue-and-groove joints are made by hot pressing (hot extrusion). This technology allows you to produce profile configurations that are not available for production by other deformation methods.
