Severstal-metiz Displayed New Products on the CTT-Expo 2026
The companies showcased their innovation — the Anaconda K4 four-strand compacted steel wire rope. The rope is used as the main line on mobile cranes and serves as an alternative to standard GOST ropes. The rope consists of four compacted strands that increase its strength and ensure a uniform load distribution along the entire rope. As a result, the shape of the rope's cross section remains stable even during intensive operation. Rotation resistance, increased area of contact with the supporting surface and abrasion resistance make the rope an ideal choice for complicated operating conditions of a crane requiring frequent bending and high cyclic loads. This design significantly extends the maintenance interval of the crane line. Responding to customer demand, Severstal Lifting Technologies has implemented the production of polyurethane covers for textile, wire rope and chain slings. They are designed to protect structural surfaces from abrasion between contacting metal surfaces, for example, when moving machined parts whose damage must be avoided. Such covers prevent cargo from damage when it gets into contact with a chain or wire rope and increase the service life of slings in general. "When developing and manufacturing new product types, we always consider market demands. The current situation dictates rapid response to new trends and customer requests. We always try to keep in contact with our clients; therefore, we will continue to expand our footprint, develop new products and maintain our leadership in the wire rope business in Russia and abroad," says Alexander Romanovich, the CEO of Severstal Wire Ropes. The majority of the displayed products represent the companies' in-house high-tech developments that have outstanding features and are steadily replacing foreign equivalents.
