The Young Scientists competition has been held during the Metal Expo for several years. It is held in order to identify and support talented young people.
This year took part and wonAlexander Smirnov, the senior process engineer of the Severstal-metiz technology service. His work is devoted to the study of the microstructure and mechanical properties of structural spring steel after drawing and spheroidizing annealing.
Thanks to Alexander's research, it was possible to select the necessary mode, temperature and annealing time for high-carbon wire, which made it possible to achieve the excess requirements required by the client.
